This is an old revision of the document!

Do Voximal supports CCXML ? Why we don't use CCXML?

CCXML is designed to provide telephony call control support for dialog systems, such as VoiceXML.

CCXML has been designed to complement and integrate with a VoiceXML interpreter (to extend VoiceXML capabilities and limitations).

The integration of Voximal (the VoiceXML intepreter) uses the Asterisk telephony system to manage the VoiceXML session. The call control domain is executed in the Asterisk. Asterisk not use natively the CCXML protocol, syntax, and features. In many aspects, Asterisk exceeds the scope of CCXML (call recording, conference, applications/function, complex Dialplan script, AGIā€¦).

More information : please just replace VXI* by Voximal :-)
