CCXML is designed to provide telephony call control support for dialog systems, such as VoiceXML.
CCXML has been designed to complement and integrate with a VoiceXML interpreter (to extend VoiceXML capabilities and limitations).
The integration of Voximal (the VoiceXML intepreter) uses the Asterisk telephony system to manage the VoiceXML session. The call control domain is executed by Asterisk. Asterisk not uses the CCXML protocol, syntax, and features, because it just don't need it. In many aspects, Asterisk exceeds the scope of CCXML (call recording, conference, applications/function, complex Dialplan script, AGIā¦).
More information : please just replace VXI* by Voximal
