Voximal was created in 2003 by Borja SIXTO (an OpenVXI V3.4 integration with the Asterisk PBX).

In 2006, it has been commercially launched by i6net company with the name VXI* (VoiceXML IVR  for Asterisk).

In 2016, since version 14.0 beta, VXI* is renamed Voximal (VoXiMaL as VXML=VoiceXML).

Voximal(r) and Voxibot(r) are a trademark properties of Ulex, deposited to the [[https://www.inpi.fr/fr|INPI]].

Ulex Innovative Systems company is the owner and distributor of rights.
